Brand Strategist


This is a full time and permanent role to support on strategy projects as part of a growing team, reporting to one of our Senior Strategy Directors. Our clients are predominantly B2B. We’re looking for someone who can work with the BSD to research from multiple inputs, support on identifying key insights and brainstorm with the team to make hypotheses with the group. This person will be a creative writer, able to distill complex thoughts into clear and compelling narratives, working alongside the rest of our strategic and creative team. Understanding of employee engagement and advocacy when it comes to embedding a brand positioning would be helpful.

We are a friendly, down to earth, and informal team who work closely together to come up with solutions for our clients. We’re looking for someone who flourishes in this type of environment.

Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Passionate about brands and the branding process.
  • Proactive, self-starter. Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and high work standards.
  • Advocates for brand consultancy to the rest of the agency.
  • Contributes to thought leadership, including writing articles to publish, with the support of the BSD.
  • On the pulse of global trends impacting brands.
  • Interested and up to date in current affairs.
  • Support to brief design teams to bring strategy to life.


  • Facilitation of workshops alongside BSD, interviews and desk research.
  • Support BSD in giving creative counsel throughout design process.
  • Develop skills to influence client decision making.
  • Attends client meetings and work with BSD to present up to C-suite level.
  • Works with Client Services team and BSD to provide strategic counsel to clients.

New business:

  • Understand the category and client point of view.
  • Works with Client Services team and BSD to take and interrogates client briefs to understand the core challenges.
  • Support BSD to brief and lead agency team to provide solution for client.
  • Working closely with account management team to agree process to tackle brief.
  • Play role in pitch meetings.
  • Provides input to proposal and work plans for new business and extension of client business.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Embodies and demonstrates Emperor’s Values – Aim High, Creativity Everywhere, Infectious Enthusiasm, Always Learning and Razor Sharp
  • 4 – 6 years agency side experience at other leading brand consultancies.
