Marketing Executive


This is a full-time and permanent role to help build Emperor’s profile among our industry partners, peers and wider network. 

Overseeing the use of a number of different platforms, the Marketing Executive will be comfortable multi-tasking responsibilities and confident in dealing with people at all levels throughout the business. 

As a confident copywriter, the Marketing Executive will execute a comprehensive content calendar, ensuring that our creative work, thought leadership and events are promoted regularly in line with our brand and tone of voice. Reporting to the Head of External Communications, the Marketing Executive will support in implementing and driving our external activities both in the UK and internationally.

From two people and an Apple Mac, we are now one of the UK’s leading strategic and creative communications agencies with over 250 colleagues. What You'll Do

  • Manage all social channels to ensure appropriate, relevant and joined-up posts that engage with our different audiences.
  • Draft our social content and populate a forward planner, including scheduling posts via Hootsuite.

  • Drive our social media following by engaging with our network of partnership or affiliate organisations and ensuring visibility to our partners’ audiences.

  • Manage Emperor’s website via our bespoke CMS, including content upload and managing updates/bugs with development partners.

  • Oversee the production of our regular external newsletters, including scheduling, planning and fulfilment.

  • Use Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour and produce regular reports to support decision making.

  • Coordinate our online and in person events from start to finish.

  • Work with client-facing teams to ensure the continuous recognition of our work across all propositions throughout the year.
  • Coordinate the continuous production of client case studies working with our Design and Client Services team. 
  • Update external platforms, including (but not limited to): YouTube, Vimeo, Google My Business, BIMA, LSE Spark, CreativePool and SRI Connect.
  • Support the Head of External Communications on the production of all marketing materials to ensure correct use of the Emperor brand and TOV, and appropriate use and sharing.

You're Good at / You Have

  • Demonstrated experience in a previous marketing/communications role within mid-large organisation.
  • Demonstrated copyrighting skills. 

  • Thrives in a busy environment and can hit the ground running, flexible and adaptable in approach

  • Is happy to contribute ideas with an eye for detail

  • Uses analytics to influence decisions

  • Ability to work alone and follow instruction

  • Ability to manage expectations and work to deadlines, with excellent organisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic understanding of InDesign/Photoshop CMS usage, Mailchimp, Hootsuite.
