How do you build a sustainable brand?

JLL helps to shape cities and drive economies through its global real estate investment and property services. Their innovative ‘Building a Better Tomorrow’ strategy aims to offer sustainable solutions in the property sector. 


JLL asked us to help articulate their sustainability strategy and to bring it to life to engage stakeholders around the world. 

JLL were keen for their sustainability communications to adopt a distinct look and feel, whilst remaining aligned to a new global brand style.

How do you create an unmistakable look and feel for sustainability while tying it into the wider brand?


Working with senior JLL leaders from around the world, we crafted an engaging narrative and messaging framework to support the Building a Better Tomorrow strategy. 

We then brought this to life with an overarching look and feel which embraced illustration.

We wrote and designed case studies evidencing the strategy in action, and developed engagement toolkits to embed it internally, including an animation and a branded web-key that was shared with 500 Directors at a leadership event.

For external audiences, we also designed JLL's award-winning 2017 Global Sustainability Report.


JLL's 2017 Global Sustainability Report was awarded the ASPC Colonial Award for Excellence, in the 'CSR Report Best Photography and Graphic Design' category.

We continue to work closely with JLL in shaping their approach to ‘Building a Better Tomorrow’, including undertaking a multi-stakeholder materiality process to identify the future direction of its sustainability strategy.
